New DRYAD / AtoM Installations Completed

We're extremely pleased to announce the completion of two new, bespoke DRYAD / AtoM installations. The first installation, carried out for Explore York Archives and Libraries (EYLA), utilised Max's 'Crosswalker' tool to migrate nearly 160,000 entries from EYLA's existing CALM installation to AtoM and confirmed Crosswalker's efficacy as a tried and tested CALM to AtoM migration tool. The second, carried out for Scotland's Rural College (SRUC) comprised an upgrade from AtoM 2.3.1 to 2.6.2 and data migration from the old installation to the new. Both installations utilised DRYAD's secure hosting service and benefited from Max's ability to produce intuitive AtoM user interfaces which harmonise with existing organisational branding.

Seen in tandem, these two installations demonstrate the flexibility of the DRYAD / AtoM service and the ease with which it can be adapted to incorporate disparate use cases.

New Video Demonstrations of Calm to AtoM Migration and Creation of AIPs and DIPs in AtoM Now Available

Max are delighted to offer two new video tutorials exploring using Max's Crosswalker tool to migrate from Calm to AtoM and the process of creating Archival Information Packages (AIPs) and Dissemination Information Packages (DIPs) in Archivematica and AtoM.

The first is a demonstration of the process of migrating a Calm database to AtoM using Max's Crosswalker tool. Senior Developer Tim Schofield explores the process in depth whilst highlighting its seamless and intuitibe nature.

In the second video Tim looks at the creation of AIPs and DIPs in AtoM as well as what they're for and their essential differences.

CALM to AtoM Migration In Practice

Max are delighted to share details of two SOTERIA / DRYAD installations. The first, a bespoke AtoM and Archivematica installation for the Royal Society of Arts, showcases AtoM and Archivematica as a flexible, branded archive management and digital preservation system. The second, an AtoM / Wordpress hybrid site created for London South Bank University, showcases the potential of AtoM to open up designated areas of your archive to the general public and by dovetailing with other tried and tested web technologies. The end result is a multi faceted user experience, specifically tailored for a broader user cohort.
